Advancing one second at the time: Wolt's path optimizing efficient delivery platforms
Elhabib Moustaid - Data Scientist, Wolt
Wolt started empowering delivery of delicious restaurant food to customers in Finland, in 2015. Today, Wolt provides services to customers in 27 countries to get (almost) their entire city delivered to their doorsteps within minutes. This is made possible through a platform that connects consumers, merchants, and courier partners efficiently.
In this talk, Elhabib Moustaid, who specializes in Operations Research and Optimization at Wolt, will discuss how customers' orders get delivered as quickly, precisely, and efficiently as possible. He will delve into how multiple machine learning models operate in harmony to constantly improve the efficiency of our platforms, making them one of the most sophisticated AI systems in logistics today.
Speakers Bio:
Elhabib Moustaid is a data scientist at Wolt specializing in optimization and logistics. Through innovation in Machine Learning and Operations Research, his team is dedicated to improving delivery efficiency and scaling Wolt's operations in all 27 countries.
Design data pipeline with GenAI
Rockie Yang
GenAI has dramatically changed the whole industry in the past few years. How can we in the data space maximally utilize the GenAI to create more value faster? In the talk Rockie Yang will share a pragmatic way to bring in LLM/RAG to achieve smooth end-to-end user experience for data pipeline design. The question he will tackle include
- How to utilize the GenAI while keeping data privacy?
- How to avoid context switch during data pipeline design, run, testing, etc?
- How to cope with 7±2 law while handling large data pipelines?
- How to enable co-working of different stakeholders in the same environment?
Speakers Bio:
Rockie Yang is a data practitioner with 20 years of software development experience and 8 years of data/AI space in multiple industries. He is passionate about realizing business value with flawless design and designing reliable solutions that bring business value constantly.
