Pandas Documentation Sprint
Details
• What we'll do
Pandas is an open source Python library for data manipulation and analysis. Its popularity is skyrocketing, and it is becoming the de-facto standard for data science and data engineering. But the number of core developers and contributors did not grow as fast as its popularity, and things like the API documentation would benefit from some help.
If you are a Pandas user, you will benefit from clearer documentation and this is a chance to contribute to an open source project. You will learn more about how Pandas works and take part in a worldwide event.
The sprint is open to everybody. You will need to know Python, Pandas and Git to be able to contribute. Please reach out to the organizers if you would like to participate but have questions about these areas. If you are unsure about using Git in particular, please contact the organizers and we can help you get up to speed before the sprint.
We want the sprints to be inclusive and diverse. If you think you are part of an underrepresented minority (because of gender, age, race...), please contact the organizers to have priority in getting a spot.
