We are excited to announce another PyData Toronto meetup.

This meetup will start with a presentation from Dean Rootenberg, Senior Manager at Enterprises Analytics at TD on transaction features using word2vec for understanding merchants based on how people consume services in the real world.

Next, Jeremy Gray will give an intro to Bayesian inference. This is a notoriously tricky subject - the math and distributions can put many beginners off and back into their frequentist ways. PyMC3 is one of the easiest ways of carrying out Bayesian analysis, and the 'inference button' allows running models with minimal effort.

Here we will cover the basics of installing and setting up PyMC, determining individual parameters, setting up basic models, and comparing their outputs to traditional frequentist tests.

Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
