PyData Toronto's New Year Kick-Off

Hey PyData Community,

We're excited to kick off 2024 with a talk night at the Microsoft Canadian HQ. Come join us IRL to meet new people and listen to great talks!

The Agenda:

• 6:25-6:30PM: PyData Welcome Talk
• 6:30-7:00PM: NumFOCUS - What's that? by Arliss Collin
• 7:00-7:30PM: PyTorch 2.0 - Why should you care by Shagun Sodhani
• 7:30-7:50PM: Community Announcements
• 7:45-8:00PM: Mix & Mingle. End of the meetup!

Getting There:

• The event is at CIBC Square, 81 Bay Street, L43. This office building has strict access control, so all attendees will be given a QR code (from [guest@cibcsquare.com](mailto:guest@cibcsquare.com)) to access the elevators.
• In preparation for the meetup, we will need you to provide your first and last name and your email address. The deadline to secure a spot for this event is Jan 8th. If you've signed up and can't make the event, please decline your RSVP so that others on the waitlist can attend!
