In this talk, I am going to talk about the process of becoming a core developer and present my journey from my first contribution to getting promoted to a Core Dev. I'm going to talk about open-source in general, why everyone should consider contributing to open-source, and especially CPython, and what kind of challenges an open-source maintainer might face.

Who is this talk for?
This talk is for open-source enthusiasts, who would like to learn more about how to get started with open-source and what it really means to be contributing to open-source and for Python enthusiasts, who would like to get a better view on how Python is developed.
