Introduction to Raspberry Pi Workshop - trial run

Nuria is planning on teaching a Raspberry Pi workshop for our Pyladies group, and perhaps a series of workshops in the future. The first one will be a trial run since we've never done this before, so we can't promise it will be perfect, but part of the purpose of this group is to provide a supportive space where we have the freedom to try new things and make mistakes and learn from them. So we invite you to come and be a part of this experience, and learn something about the RaspberryPi.

For those who are not familiar with it, the RaspberryPi is a very small and affordable computer that is very powerful for its size, which is especially useful in robotics where the size and weight of each part makes a big difference.

The workshop will provide an introduction of what the Raspberry Pi is, what it can do, and what it can't do. We'll have an opportunity to try a simple project ourselves, using Python code to control a LED light bulb. Bring your laptop to try it yourself! If you have a RaspberryPi, please bring that as well - and let us know so we can prepare a SD card for it.
