Code reading session
There is a lot to be said about how to become a software developer, what languages to use, to get a degree in CS/SE, sign up for a boot camp or self-study via a MOOC course. One thing is similar in all those situations: a strong focus on creating code, very often ‘green-field’ code. This leads to the fact that developers are rarely well equipped to read code, even their own code, but especially code written by others.
Code reading sessions are an initiative by PyLadies South Florida inspired by the Code Reading Club (https://codereading.club). We meet every other month to read, analyze, and discuss code written by others.
