π Talks
Talk #1 - Python bots are friends! Task: Adding bookmarks to PDFs
Tedious manual tasks are boring and not a good use of your time. Learn how to break down such tasks into steps that can be supported by automation. We'll be exploring the OpenPyXL library for handling data, and the PyAutoGUI library for controlling other applications like Acrobat.
Kaelyn works at the University of Toronto as an application developer and strives to automate everything she does at the risk of obsolescence.
Talk #2 - Let's talk about JWT
JSON Web Tokens, or JWTs for short, are all over the web. They can be used to track bits of information about a user in a very compact way and can be used in APIs for authorization purposes. Join me and learn what JWTs are, what problems it solves, how you can use JWTs, and how to be safer when using JWTs on your applications.
Jess Temporal is Senior Developer Advocate at Auth0 by Okta. She is a PyLady and loves to break down complex concepts.
