This meetup is the third volume of the "Careers with Python" series that aims to guide you through the various career paths and opportunities available to you as a Python developer.

Talk 1 - Python in Agricultural Technology
During this talk, you will hear about how software engineers and data scientists use python to support agriculture and food production. We'll look at areas where technology has played in a role in disrupting the world of farming, and zoom into use cases where python is especially useful

I'm a software engineer working at Source, an Amsterdam based agro-tech startup. I studied Computer Science at TU Delft and I've been coding since I was 18. I enjoy buildings software that people around me can play with, and python lends itself quite nicely to both my day-to-day job and building quirky side projects.

Talk 2 - Python in banking
During the talk you will learn about how python is used in the banking sector, more specifically in risk modelling.

I am Sharanya Missula, I'm 28 years old and moved to the Netherlands for my master's in mathematics in 2018. Since then I've graduated and have been working for ABN AMRO for the past two years.

Talk 3 - Python in Data science and strategy consulting
During the talk you will get an overview of the data science and software engineering we are delivering in strategy consulting, with an example of a real-time train dispatching tool developed for a major European railway.

Estelle is a Lead Data Scientist at strategy consulting firm BCG. She focuses on operations and transportation problems, helping major railways or airlines achieve digital and efficient operations and leverage their data, using machine learning and optimization. Estelle holds a PhD in Operations Research and is an engineer in Applied Maths and Computer Science, major in OR and simulation.
