Introduction to Data Storytelling - Workshop at PyLadiesCon

This workshop is a part of PyLadiesCon (the second Pyladies conference - an exciting online and FREE event dedicated to empowerment, learning, and diversity within the Python community)

About the workshop
Data is everywhere. It is through analysis and visualization that we are able to turn data into information that can be used to drive better decision making. Out-of-the-box tools will allow you to create a chart, but if you want people to take action, your numbers need to tell a compelling story.

In this workshop, you will learn how elements of storytelling can be applied to data visualization, and allow you to effectively tell the story in your data.

Marysia Winkels
In her regular work, Marysia works on the data quality initiatives of LLM training data for Cohere. On the side, she organises PyData Amsterdam, facilitates #data4good initiatives with CorrelAid, and regularly attends and speaks at conferences.
