In this workshop, you'll learn how to work effectively with coding agents — the meta-skills that turn them into a real productivity tool.

We'll cover writing good project context, planning before coding, setting guardrails, managing context efficiently, saving tokens and costs, and reviewing what the agent produces critically.

You'll practice these by actually building something: a small Streamlit dashboard from a provided dataset, using whichever coding agent you prefer.
We'll also introduce more advanced strategies — skills, subagents, MCP, custom slash commands, agentic loops with verifiers, multi-agent orchestration, cross-session memory, long-running agents, and evaluation — with code examples included in the materials so you can pick which to try during the build or explore further afterwards.

Felicity Fan
Felicity Fan is a Data Scientist working at the intersection of applied machine learning and MLOps. She specialises in building automated workflows, AI agents, and end-to-end pipelines that turn data insights into real action. With experience across multiple industries and research contexts, she's spent a lot of time thinking about not just how to build with AI, but how to work with it effectively. Tonight she'll share that perspective as she guides you through the meta-skills that make coding agents a genuine productivity tool.
