Talk 1: Your First Patch! Submitting a Patch to CPython by Lisa Roach, Facebook Production Engineer (15mins)

Description: Ask not what Python can do for you, but what you can do for Python! This talk will show you how to get involved with improving the backend of Python through submitting patches to CPython. We will discuss the process for finding an issue, writing the patch, submitting a pull request, and surviving peer review to get your patch merged.

Talk 2: Women, Tech & Power Aspects: How they impact a Smart City? by Stella Hiroki

Description: The concept of Smart City encourages the urban spaces to be friendly for everyone, but is this actually happening? Based on her PhD research at The Programmable City Lab, Maynooth University, Stella Hiroki from Brazil will present how Women's participation inside Technology is affected by the pressure promoted between genders for Power.
After the talk, participants will be encourage to develop projects which help cities to be more affective and friendly.
