Title: Unlocking Insights About Women’s Health Using the ClinicalTrials.gov API
Abstract: Women's Health is an evolving topic. How do we find out which clinical trials are currently being carried out globally that are related to Women's Health? ClinicalTrials.gov is a publicly available database of clinical research studies. ClinicalTrials.gov has a REST API that we can use to search and extract data. Steph will talk through how to use the API and give ideas of what we can do with the resulting data.
Title: Matching Patients to Clinical Trials Using Neo4j Vector Search
Abstract: Clinical trials are the key towards advancing drug development and evidence-based medicine, but their success is often hindered by challenges in patient recruitment. In this session, we will investigate matching patients to multiple sclerosis (MS) clinical trials using Neo4j vector search. Using python, we will walk through various steps including: 1) downloading and processing synthetic patients and recruiting MS clinical trials data, followed by 2) generating vector representations for patient and clinical trials data, then 3) building Neo4j knowledge graph and finally 4) using Neo4j vector search + ChatGPT4 for matching patients to MS clinical trials.
