Talks

Title: Semantic Search with Elasticsearch and Python
Abstract: Ever wondered how search engines can answer question-based queries? It's all down to semantic search, or vector search. Join us on a whistle-stop tour of the differences between traditional lexical and vector-search, and how you can get started using Elasticsearch and Python.

Title: Recruiting at Elastic with Rachel - Hints and Tips for Job Seekers
Abstract: I’ll be introducing what we look for from candidates who want to apply to Elastic, share some interview advice for any active searchers, and highlight some of our current openings.

Title: Efficient Python Project Setup: Showing Cookiecutter's Potential within Kedro
Abstract: Cookiecutter is an open source library for building coding project templates, which allows you to set up best practices and save developer time with repeatable templates your whole team can use. In this talk, I will demonstrate how we've used Cookiecutter as a foundation for Kedro, a framework for reproducible, modular data science code. See how Cookiecutter in Kedro allows precise customisation, from best practices to production-ready pipelines.

Sponsor: This meetup is sponsored by Elastic.
