January Meetup - Community Coding, Diversity and Personal Python Projects

Hello and Happy New Year ladies! Happy to announce that this month's meetup is a merge between PythonPH (https://www.meetup.com/pythonph/) + PyLadies Manila fostering diversity.

This month's speakers are Isabel Sieh and Jet Legaspi. After the talks, we will start the show and tell presentations.

• Python in 3D (Autodesk Maya) by Jet Legaspi
Jet Legaspi is a seasoned and professional 3D / CG (computer graphic) artist. He is a self-taught and multi award-winning 3D/computer graphics artist then became an educator himself in Manila, Philippines. He has been exposed to different kinds of media productions, both local and international animation and video. From international animated TV series such as Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, to feature film and animation (Universal animations Curious George 2:Follow that Monkey), interactive medias to TV commercials (Hasbro's KREO:Transformers) and MORE

• Community Coding by Isabel Sieh
Isabel Sieh, a fascinating, 12-year old girl who started Girls Will Code (http://www.girlswillcode.com/) will talk about Community Coding.Fun fact: Aside from Isabel's passion for learning programming at a very young age and drive to inspire other girls to do the same, she also recently won an award for Best In Costume for making her own R2D2 costume and coding an app that makes droid sounds.
