• David Radcliffe -- Exploring number theory with Python.
In 1769, Euler conjectured that it is impossible to express an nth power as the sum of less than n nth powers. This conjecture was disproved in 1966, using a CDC 6600, which found 27^5 + 84^5 + 110^5 + 133^5 = 144^5. In this beginner-friendly talk, I will demonstrate how to find this solution in a few seconds using Python. I will also explain how beginners and experts alike can contribute to mathematical research (and get published!) by contributing Python scripts to the On-line Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences.

• John Tramell -- Testing conversational AI behavior with pytest

At the last meetup there was some suggestions of possible talks related to a college Python/AI project, using GitHub Copilot, Geopandas, and others, for example.
