Epic Python gathering! ๐๐บ PyMunich and PyLadies celebrate together ๐๐บ
Hybrid meetup, attend in person or online on youtube https://youtu.be/uXuaF4YAJxc
Drinks, talks, and a lot of networking in the charming event space of Stylight โจ
Very cool speakers: Nele from Comunda coming from Berlin to talk about Workflow Engines; Andrey, author of dstack, shows how to set up ML operations declaratively and keep them reproducible. Finally, Ani will show us how to improve Computational Linguistics with Python.
Plan:
๐ 18:30 Warm welcome, food, drinks, chat
๐ 18:50 Intro & video-call with PyBerlin Meetup ๐ฅ
PyBerlin has a meetup same date, same time!
- we will call them and see how things run on their side
- few words about PyMunich and PyLadies
- introduction of Stylight, our host
๐ 19:00 Ani Chandrashekhar: "Linguistic Optimization with Python"
A short overview of two common problems in Computational Linguistics and their solutions in native python
Ani is a Data Engineer with a specialty in natural language processing, currently working at Stylight. Passionate about NLP, Computational Morphology, and Machine Translation
๐ 19:20 Olga has a birthday, so we sing Happy Birthday to her
๐ 19:30 Nele Uhlemann: "Workflow Engines: the glitter glue for Python Microservices"
Modern workflow engines provide a glue to orchestrate microservices in a loosely coupled way. Like adding glitter to glue the right workflow engine adds functionalities to define Saga rollbacks, error handling and retries and therefore helps to reduce boilerplate code. The presentation will give insight on how to orchestrate Python Microservices with Open Source technology.
Nele Uhlemann is a Developer Advocate at Camunda. Her passion is helping the open source community use and understand Camundaโs technologies and build a bridge between multiple stakeholders that are involved when building Software. Nele is a process nerd and loves to leverage the full potential of the executable modeling language BPMN to make the life of Software Developers easier.
๐ 20:10 Andrey Cheptsov: "Reproducible ML workflows in AWS with Python and dstack"
Building ML models is an iterative process. How do you set up your dev environment and workflows for better productivity and reproducibility?
In this talk, we'll look into how to run reproducible ML workflows in AWS using Python and dstack.
Andrey is the creator of dstack. He is passionate about open-source and developer tools. Previously, Andrey worked at JetBrains with the PyCharm team.
๐จ 20:35 DevOpsCon Ticket Raffle by Aiven๐จ
We'll give away a DevOpsCon Munich sponsored by Aiven. Aiven enables businesses to manage an open-source data infrastructure in the cloud. Everyone can join the Game to win the ticket but the ticket must be assigned to a PyLady as we want to improve inclusion and diversity in tech.
