🎤 "An OS journey through Python async and threads" – This talk explores how concurrency and parallelism work in Python from an operating system perspective. It covers important OS concepts that underlie async functions, threads, multiprocessing, and their connection with the language/interpreter. A discussion about the future of Python multitasking is also included, considering the significant changes coming with Python 3.12 and 3.13.
📖 Ariel is a Senior Software Engineer at Celus with focus on Python, PostgreSQL and Linux and is experienced with DevOps and Kubernetes. Changing the paradigm from sync to async has made him wonder what is happening behind the scenes, from a low-level perspective, and he is glad to share this knowledge with the community.
