Join Pyowa for our February meetup featuring Pat Hawks, Lead Software Engineer at Coviance, for a talk on structured logging in Python. Logging is often written for humans, but machines are far better at reading structured data. This session explores why structured logging matters, when it’s worth adopting, and how to introduce it into existing Python applications without a full rewrite. Expect practical guidance, real-world examples, and advice you can apply right away.

The event is on Tuesday, February 24th from 5:30-7pm, hosted at Source Allies with a live online stream available. Food and drinks will be provided for in-person attendees.

Our Speaker:
Pat Hawks is a Lead Software Developer at Coviance, where he works on automating lending for credit unions and building polished borrower experiences. His background includes broadcast journalism, maintaining a Ruby project, coding on Caribbean beaches, and earning a pilot’s license, though he assures us this talk will be far more structured than his career path.
