February Dojo: Web spiders with Scrapy

• What we will do?
We will explain the Scrapy architecture and show an example of a simple web spider. Then, you will have a chance to write several web spiders to compare prices from different e-commerce sites. You will work in pairs and we will be by your side to help you learn.

This session will be in English or Spanish, depending on the audience.

• REQUIREMENTS:

• You should know basic Python and HTML. Some basic regular expressions will be also used.
• You should bring your laptop with Python (v.2 or v.3, doesn't matter, but examples will be shown in v.3) and a virtual environment installed.

• What you need to bring?
Willing to enjoy and learn, a laptop with Python and virtual environment installed.
