Per questa edizione super speciale di PyBari, siamo ad ospitare due ferventi pythonisti pugliesi con idee e carattere da vendere:

Marco Jean Aboav è il ceo/cofounder di Etna Research, una fintech basata a Londra con subsidiary a Bari che fornisce una piattaforma per faciliatare la costruzione di prodotti finanziari e assicurativi usando AI generativa, machine learning e l'ecosistema dei dati. Ha piu' di 10 anni di esperienza in finanza quantitativa, gestione di portafoglio e di sviluppo di business fintech tra Londra e Milano. Marco e' professore associato di fintech alla Bayes Business School a Londra. Fintech/AI external advisor per programmi di accelerazione di AWS. PhD in ingegneria a Polimi.

"Non aver paura del Machine Learning (oppure: il tuo primo modello di ML)"
Tutti parlano del Machine Learning. Machine Learning qui, Machine Learning lì. Ma alla fine, cos’è questo dannato Machine Learning? Come funziona un modello? Che significa “addestrare” un modello? In che modo il Machine Learning è legato all’intelligenza artificiale? Che tipo di problemi possono essere risolti con il Machine Learning?Dissolveremo tutti i dubbi in uno schiocco di dita e poi costruiremo insieme il nostro primo modello di Machine Learning, passo dopo passo, prima partendo da un modello “naive” per poi arrivare ad utilizzare le librerie open più blasonate.

Giuseppe Mastrandrea è un insegnante di informatica, machine learning e uno sviluppatore web. Nerd prima che diventasse mainstream, è laureato in ingegneria informatica e innamorato del web in tutte le sue forme (non sempre ricambiato). Lavora dal 2011 come front-end developer per Frankhood e dal 2017 come insegnante di informatica nella scuola pubblica. Attualmente insegna all’istituto tecnico tecnologico Panetti-Pitagora di Bari. Nel 2020 inizia ad insegnare Python e Machine Learning con Datamasters.it

"Don't be afraid of Machine Learning (or: your first ML model)"
Everyone talks about Machine Learning. Machine Learning here, Machine Learning there. But in the end, what is this damn Machine Learning? How does a model work? What does it mean to "train" a model? How is Machine Learning related to artificial intelligence? What kind of problems can be solved with Machine Learning? We will dissolve all doubts in a snap of fingers and then build our first Machine Learning model together, step by step, starting from a "naive" model and then moving on to use the most prestigious open libraries.

Giuseppe Mastrandrea is a computer science teacher, machine learning, and web developer. A nerd before it became mainstream, he graduated in computer engineering and is in love with the web in all its forms (not always reciprocated). He has been working as a front-end developer for Frankhood since 2011 and as a computer science teacher in public school since 2017. Currently, he teaches at the Panetti-Pitagora technical institute in Bari. In 2020, he began teaching Python and Machine Learning with Datamasters.it
