Code changes all the time. We create new files, new functions, and new classes to make computers dance. How do we make sure that these changes don't break our project? We use version control tools. Git is the most commonly used version control tool in use today. In this presentation, we'll learn the basics of Git. We'll also explore GitHub, the most common place to host your Git projects, which is used by open source communities and companies all over the world.

Bring your laptop! Git is so foundational to software projects that we will happily help you set it up on your machine.

We'll also hold another monthly raffle for an opportunity to win a $25 Amazon gift card, thanks to our sponsor Accelebrate. Check out their Python training options at https://www.accelebrate.com/python-training.

Also, we're going to have another "after hour." After the presentation is over, anyone who wants to stay and do a bit of coding or chatting is welcome to hang out. Think of it like a mini open workshop.
