Open Source Software and Hackoberfest

Our October meetup will be in support of Hacktoberfest, an annual celebration of open source software and those who contribute to it.

Our meetup will feature a brief introduction to open source software; what it is and why it's important. We'll then cover the basics of what it takes to contribute to an open source project, before finally moving on the how to get involved in Hacktoberfest. After we've done all that, we'll get down to the business of searching for projects to contribute to.
