What we’re about
The Python Software Association of Namibia (PYNAM)
The Python Software Association of Namibia, commonly known as PYNAM, is an active and inclusive community encompassing master programmers, intermediate developers, and absolute beginners. Recognizing Namibia's reliance on accessible and user-friendly technology, PYNAM aims to enhance community engagement and foster Python education, thereby driving transformative change for both the nation and its citizens. We warmly welcome everyone interested in learning Python to join our community and collaborate with fellow developers in bridging the technological gap.
PYNAM is a registered Non-Profit Organization in Namibia and is the driving force behind PyCon Namibia, an event exclusively run by dedicated volunteers.
Objectives:
- Public Education: To educate the public about the benefits of using and understanding the Python programming language.
- Youth Development: To cultivate a new generation of Python developers, starting from primary school learners.
- Event Organization: To organize, present, and promote Python-related conferences, workshops, meetings, and events throughout Namibia.
- Project Support: To support and promote Python-related projects and events organized by PYNAM members.
- Member Support: To assist PYNAM members in attending Python-related conferences, meetings, and events.
