This talk explores Amazon Kiro, AWS's agentic development environment that turns high-level prompts into structured requirements, architectural designs, and executable code. You'll see how Kiro uses autonomous agents, property-based testing, and agent hooks to validate correctness and automate engineering workflows. You'll also learn practical strategies for bringing spec-driven agentic workflows into your own development lifecycle.

🎤 Talk 2: Building Medical AI with Limited Compute: Lightweight Brain Tumour Segmentation with Python
Speakers: Ifeoluwa Oladeji, Juwon Adegite, Medical AI Laboratory (MAI Lab)
Medical AI is often associated with huge datasets and expensive GPUs. But what happens when you don't have them? MAI Lab will share their work on lightweight brain tumour segmentation using a 3D U-Net built for resource-constrained environments, trained on the BraTS-Africa MRI dataset. They'll walk through the full Python workflow, from preprocessing to training, evaluation, and visualisation, using PyTorch, MONAI, NiBabel, and NumPy. They'll also share lessons from building medical AI in an African context. No medical background needed!
