Software Craftsmanship?
Learn about the one factor that makes software development harder over time. See clear evidence of how even a single line of code can adversely affect the software development process and how our programs turn slowly into unmaintainable legacy codeunless we proactively counter this force. Discover how to generate a faster time-to-market while reducing the total cost of ownership of your bespoke software systems.

The presenter for this event is Olaf Thielke, a Software Engineering Coach. Olaf has been programming for nearly 30 years and engineered software for about half that time. A self-declared Software Craftsman, Olaf is passionate about coaching developers on how to architect maintainable, pluggable software. His website is codecoach.co.nz.

The Auckland branch of the New Zealand Python Users Group meets every month. This will be an online (only) meeting. Please RSVP to receive the meeting's URL.

We are a healthy mix of Python users. Students, academics, hobbyists, industry professionals, and many completely new to Python.

During these meetups, we have two presentations by members of the group about their Python endeavours. At least one of the presentations should be aimed at a beginner level, so don't worry if you are not too familiar with Python.

The "room" opens at 6:00pm for social gathering, and the first presentation starts at 6:30. Everything should be wrapped up by 8:30pm. See you there!

We follow the NZPUG code of conduct to create an inclusive friendly environment. https://python.nz/Page/42341
