Attila Viniczai: Fantastically slow Django queries and how to fix them

Is there a workflow you can use to fix your slow Django app? There certainly is! In this talk, we'll look at what actually makes Django applications slow, how to measure database query performance, and how to make sense of `EXPLAIN (ANALYZE, BUFFERS)` without becoming a PostgreSQL expert. We'll cover addressing the usual suspects - N+1 queries, over-fetching data, and missing indexes - as well as when partial indexes are useful and why tweaking `work_mem` is usually not the answer.
