Office Hours
Details
We'll be winding-down™ for Waitangi Day and the long-weekend. So, very low-key! Could discuss some Python-ish topic, or constructively-review some of your code.
"Office Hours" means that you are invited to nominate any topic you'd like to discuss - preferably related to some problematic code, or some debugging we might help you to master.
A number of Beginners and newcomers to Python have joined the Online Group recently (welcome!). Please, don't under-/over-estimate what people might think of you/your topic. We'll tackle anything no matter how big or small (famous last words™?)
> NB These are not instructor-led Python training sessions. However, if you are attempting an on-line training course, we will be happy to discuss any work you're doing and encourage you along your path.
NB others use the term Ask me anything to describe their sessions, but that's not the same as I can answer everything!
Recently, re-read some notes from computer scientist Phil Karlton -perhaps most famous for the quotation: "There are only two hard things in computer science: cache invalidation and naming things."
If nothing else, (with zero prep) we could talk about memoisation and caching - or discuss aspects of Computer Science studies, folk who did not study ComSc feel might be missing from their tool-kit...
Come along and surprise us with your wit and wisdom! =dn
