1. Paul Hallett: Clientele: minimalist, functional API clients from OpenAPI schemas
Another "I built a library here is how it works" talk, but with some insight into why I built it instead of using other options.
2. Sebastien Pierre: Stream-Oriented Data Processing in Python
A tour of different techniques we're using at NZX to design and implement streaming data processing pipelines in Python. We'll give you a tour of the specific Python features we're using, as well as sneak peek into our in-house toolkit. Although the topic may seem a bit advanced, it will be accessible to intermediate Python programmers as well.
Python talks! Python people! Discussions from how to start learning Python through to debugging your robot pirate spaceship avionics controller library. Or whatever. There is also pizza and soft drinks and BEER. :)
If you'd like to present at one of the next meetups, please fill out this form and we will help schedule you in.
First time speakers are absolutely welcome. We can help you with your presentation. Just let us know.
