Curious about Python but not sure where to start?
Join us for a 2-hour, practical PythonPDX workshop where you’ll learn the basics of Python for data analysis — no coding experience required!
In this beginner-friendly session, we’ll explore how to use Google Colab, a free, cloud-based tool that lets you run Python right in your browser. Together, we’ll walk through hands-on examples covering:
- Setting up and running Python code in Google Colab
- Mounting Google Drive to access and save files
- Loading data files (CSV, Excel, etc.) into notebooks
- Performing basic data analysis and cleaning with `pandas`
- Creating simple visualizations using `matplotlib`
By the end of the workshop, you’ll understand how Python can be used for real-world data tasks and leave with your own Colab notebook to keep practicing.
