Djangonauts lift-off for 2016

Happy new year Djangonauts!

Myself and co-pilot Robin Chew would like to invite you to the first meetup of 2016. The illustrious Russell Keith-Magee has passed the torch and Robin and I are happy to kick off the year with an introductory session to talk about our journey into Django and how we use it professionally every day of the week.

As part of the re-animation process, we have decided to make a slight name change to the 'Perth Django and Python Developers Meetup'. We are hoping to cast a wider net to attract not only web developers but also the greater community of Pythonistas in Perth. Fear not disciples of Django as we will try to stay close to the roots of this group by peppering our talks with a Django flavour as much as possible, starting with this first meetup.

Our mission is to create a vibrant and welcoming community of developers that believe "Beautiful is better than ugly", Simple is better than complex" and, well, you know the rest*.
