Austin Robotics Paper Club

Details
This is an invite for the Austin Robotics Paper Club. This week we will cover two RL papers whose research culminates in state-of-the-art locomotion and navigation skills for quadruped robots.
Primary Paper: Advanced Skills by Learning Locomotion and Local Navigation End-to-End
Secondary Paper: Parkour in the Wild: Learning a General and Extensible Agile Locomotion Policy Using Multi-expert Distillation and RL Fine-tuning
Our paper captain will be Kyle Morgenstein, a UT Robotics PhD candidate working in reinforcement and representation learning. He will be guiding us through these papers.
Although we encourage everyone to read the papers beforehand, the first 15 minutes of the meeting will be reserved for reading the paper if you didn’t have time to during the week.
