Many people that are looking at professional Software Quality Assurance (QA) as a potential career often ask, "What does QA actually look like and what do QA Engineers actually do?"

It's a question often answered with "it depends", and rightfully so, because the answer is different from company-to-company or even team-to-team. In this session, we'll dive into someone's actual experience of what they learned about QA in school and what they were anticipating, what is actually happening now that they're in a QA position, and then ask questions and discuss things like:

• What does "good" QA look like?
• How to organize your testing?
• How to apply test automation well?
• Which skills do you actually use?
• Which tools do you actually use?
