About us
Welcome to Qahwa Sundays Munich | قهوة أحد.
We are a boutique community of Arabic-speaking professionals, thinkers, and creatives living and building our lives in Munich.
Sundays in Munich should be spent well. We created this space to step away from screen fatigue and fast-paced workweeks, bringing together grounded, curious minds for genuine connection, specialty coffee, and engaging dialogue.
What We Do:
We meet every Sunday afternoon (typically between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM), rotating our activities each week:
• Book & Idea Salons: Bi-weekly discussions exploring thought-provoking non-fiction, psychology, literature, and navigating career and life in Europe.
• Café Crawls & Social Catch-ups: The alternating Sundays are all about relaxed conversation and exploring Munich’s best third-wave roasters and cozy neighborhood corners (Maxvorstadt, Schwabing, Haidhausen).
• Seasonal Outdoor Hangouts: In warmer months, our Sundays naturally move outdoors—gentle bike rides along the Isar, lake walks, and park picnics.
Who This Is For:
• Established professionals, creatives, and expatriates living in Munich who appreciate substance, good taste, and open dialogue.
• Anyone looking to broaden their social and intellectual circle with like-minded peers in an easygoing, secular, and welcoming setting.
• Conversations are held primarily in Arabic (with a natural mix of English and German as needed).
A Note on Group Size:
Capacity varies by the setting intimate discussions and cozy café visits are kept to a curated table (around 6 to 8 people) so everyone can engage, while outdoor walks and picnics welcome a wider circle. If you reserve a spot, please make sure you can make it or update your RSVP at least 24 hours in advance so others can join.
Pull up a chair, order your favorite cup, and join the conversation.
