Our Edinburgh March meeting will be an evening of lightning talks! Would you like to tell us about something you've worked on recently? Or perhaps a hobby, interest or experience of yours? This is your chance! ๐ŸŒˆ

Lightning talks are strictly-timeboxed presentations which each last no more than 5 minutes. They're a fun way to gain experience at speaking in front of others in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Attendees of this event are invited to present on a topic of your choice (the more random, the better). Those who would prefer to spectate rather than present are also very welcome at this meeting, too.

Having material such as slides to accompany your lightning talk is entirely optional. If you have some something prepared which you'd like us to put up on the projector while you speak then please send it to us in advance at qcscot.lightningtalks@herdingdata.co.uk. Please message us in advance if you'd like to do a talk, so we can make sure we have time for everyone!

The venue requires attendees to bring photo ID, however we will have someone at the door who will ensure this does not cause problems for trans attendees whose ID may not match their name and gender presentation. There will be a private changing space available with mirror, for anyone who presents differently at work to how they'd like to at Queer Code. Gender neutral toilets will be available, and there will be a designated quiet space.

Access to the building is flat surface from the street, the doors are automatic. The Auditorium is on the second floor and accessed by either stairs or lift. The lift is large and spacious and does have a grab rail and alarm button. The lift also features spoken messages indicating which floor the lift is on and whether the doors are opening or closing. Within the building there are call buttons for assistance if required. Accessible toilets are on both second floor. They both have grab rails, cord alarms and lowered sinks. For further specific access information, please contact Port Hamilton on 0131 300 9284

Food and drinks will be provided by our host Lloyds - please let us know dietary needs when you RSVP. Code of conduct https://queer-code.org/coc
