Details

Hi,
πŸ’– Our host this month is with techmeetup.space.

Lifelogging, A Peculiar form of Quantified Self - Cathal Gurrin
In this talk, Cathal will outline a decade of pioneering research at DCU into lifelogging, a form of continuous self monitoring using a wide range of sensor types. He will introduce the concept, his own experiences and mention the types of application that he has worked on with partners from around the world. He will also demo the latest and most advanced lifelog system as evidenced by excellent performance in the annual ACM Lifelog Search Challenge.

Quantifying Reading Quality - Khiem Tu Le (DCU)
Using sensors, we will introduce how we use eye movements to categorise reading activities and better understand how our eye movements can indicate how well we are likely to remember content that we have just read.

Quantifying Stress Using Wearable Cameras - Tu Van Ninh (DCU)
In this talk, the idea of using wearable cameras to automatically identify stressful events is introduced. We will describe how to detect stressful events using wearable sensors.

As always, if you would like to give a talk, please don't hesitate to contact us!

Looking forward to seeing you all!
QS team - Cathal, Liting & Justin
