My dear self explorers,
Once again we are bringing state-of-art know-how and tools from the field of neuroscience within your reach. We attend top events in the field, sift through the scientific information, and organize practical workshops where you can cherry pick whatever is useful at the moment for you.
This time we are coming fresh from BNA Festival of Neuroscience 2017, a flagship biennial meeting of British Neuroscience Association.
For four days we were listening to and meeting with some of the field's greatest mind's in order to be able to bring you distilled know-how on how to apply latest advancements in brain research into your daily life. You can expect not only information, but exact methods, tools, and applications...
At BNA 2017, we learned from world-class plenary lecturers (including a Nobel Laureate and a 2016 Brain Prize winner), over 40 symposia and workshops covering the very latest in neuroscience research, daily themed poster sessions, and a series of ‘discussion groups’ on topical issues.
The themes for 2017 are i.a. as follows:
+ Novel treatments and translational neuroscience
+ Learning and memory
+ The Neurobiology of Stress
+ Methods and techniques
For more information about the event please see http://www.bna.org.uk/meetings/bna2017.
We will distill this vast amount of information into a 2-hour workshop split into 2 PARTS:
1) First hour will be an overview of the news from BNA Festival with all the interesting scientific news and progress.
2) Second hour of workshop will be dedicated to your questions and answers, and we will apply what we learned to your specific needs. There will be enough time allocated for your questions on how to transform this information into knowledge and tools applicable to your circumstances. During this part, 20 minutes will be allocated to ONE lucky person who will get focused analysis of his/her own chosen issue and get personalized advice from the perspective of the latest neuroscience, and also from the whole group.
Come join us on Thursday April 27, at 6 30 p.m. in the heart of Prague, easily accessible by public transportation in the inspiring atmosphere of Impact Hub.
The entrance fee is 8 GBP/10 EUR/250 CZK. You can pay by cash or card on the spot.
(All income from the workshop will go towards covering the costs bringing this information to you (300 GBP conference attendance fee, travel costs to Birmingham, accommodation for 4 nights, venue in Impact Hub, etc.)
If anything is left above the costs it will be donated for the brain research and its popularization.
If you are not happy with the information provided at the end of the workshop, your entry fee will be returned to you, no questions asked.
Furthermore, if you are not able to afford the fee, you can write us and apply for a discount or a waiving of the fee.
I do hope you will have time to make it to the MeetUp. After this meeting you brain will literally not be the same again ;-)
