Please describe yourself in three words

In your words, what is Quantified Self?

An opportunity to learn about myself, get exposure to new data acquisition technologies, and maintain the ability to apply technical concepts in a creative manner.

Please describe your work or interests and how they relate to Quantified Self

I've had an attraction to exercise, sleep quality, and nutrition since high school bordering on obsession. I also enjoy creating mechanical devices that interface with humans. Quantified self will serve as a means to merge various interests into a productive hobby.

Are you currently tracking anything? What would you like to learn how to track?

Not currently tracking anything. Have previously developed a motion classification program to determine locomotive type. The program was able to identify the difference between walking, running, and going up/down stairs using 3 accelerometers on the leg. I would like to take methodologies developed by other QS'ers to optimize quality of life: sleep, cognitive output, energy, stress etc. This will likely mean I track nutrition, heart rate, etc.

I studied Biomechanical Engineering in school and have been removed for about a year. I miss the creative outlet, and want to track my physical changes from the University to the Professional world.
