Please describe yourself in three words

In your words, what is Quantified Self?

I don't "eyeball" a shelf when I install it - I use a level. We have the tech track all sorts of metrics and I feel like we should be putting numbers to our bodies so that we can improve, well, everything.

Please describe your work or interests and how they relate to Quantified Self

At SensiMAT Systems we have created a device that measures pressure on the seat of a wheelchair and notifies patients when and how they need to reposition themselves to prevent pressure ulcers.

Are you currently tracking anything? What would you like to learn how to track?

Not yet. I have ordered a BodyMedia and hope to begin soon. I find that tracking is all good and fine, but we really need to start correlating. ie. knowing I burned 1000 calories vs knowing why I burned 1000 calories and providing actionable intel on how to improve

VP of SensiMAT Systems, Ivey MBA, Biochem undergrad. Interested in the intersection of science and business, specifically for improving our healthcare system.
