We're kicking off our first meetup of the New Year.
This should be an exciting one for the software engineers / data scientists out there.

We have guest speaker Conor Naylor, CFO of Aikido Finance giving an introductory talk into software engineering needed for algo trading and quantitative investing. There will be a general Q&A / chat afterwards.

Conor will be giving an overview of the entire process from start to finish including the important of having good data ("Shit in, shit out" as the saying goes), and how to use that data to make informed investment decisions. He will also be covering what is involved in backtesting.
