What we’re about
Quantum Computing Australia – Community Meetup is an open community for everyone— whether no prior knowledge of quantum computing is held or deep technical expertise is brought — the group is intended for exploration of the current landscape of quantum technologies, the Sharing of learning resources, and discussion of real-world applications.
With QCIF sponsorship, the group connects researchers, professionals, and decision-makers across industry and academia to stay informed on the practical advances in quantum computing.
What we do:
- Host events and discussions on commercially available quantum technologies
- Share accessible learning material for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Present practical, hands-on workshops on tools and platforms in the quantum ecosystem
- Provide a space to explore how quantum computing intersects with business, research, and infrastructure

Curious about where quantum computing will be in 2026?
This in-person and online session gives a clear, hype-free update on what’s happening internationally, across Australia, and in Queensland.
We focus on two things:
- Where the hardware and software really stand today — what works, what doesn’t, and why progress is slower (or faster) than headlines suggest.
- The most interesting applications being tested right now — from chemistry and drug discovery to optimisation, transport, and industry pilots.
No physics background needed.
Getting here: To find the place, you need to enter TC Beirne & Co on Brunswick St, Fortitude Valley and then find the lifts for The precinct behind the glass door and come to level 2.8 attendees
