OpenSource Variational Quantum Eigensolver extension of Quantum Learning Machine

Details

Quantum chemistry (QC) faces challenges due to errors in current quantum processing units (QPUs, NISQ hardware). Variational quantum eigensolver (VQE) algorithms offer a potential solution. OpenVQE Quantum chemistry package, introduced in https://wires.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10.1002/wcms.1664, providing tools for adaptive methods based on unitary coupled cluster (UCC). Users can benchmark 12-24 qubits on the QLM simulator, simulating chemical accuracy, counting gates, and programming various UCC circuits.

Mohammad Haidar, in this event, will give an introductory lecture on quantum chemistry methods and challenges using VQE tools, which were done in his Postdoc period.
