About us
The rapidly emerging quantum industry is harnessing quantum mechanics to solve the world’s hardest problems that are beyond the reach of classical techniques.
Quantum Driven NJ is an open forum where people can learn from industry, academic and government leaders about the latest developments and the powerful commercial impacts of this amazing science.
In-person presentations will cover a wide range of technical, business and investment topics:
• Quantum computing / sensing / networking / cryptography; photonics; quantum-related AI
• Business strategy, technology, research, applications, use cases, success stories, market trends, company formation, investing, etc…
• Quantum Applications for NJ industries: pharma, telecom, photonics, financial, etc…

memQ: Connecting Quantum Processors
Princeton Public Library, 65 Witherspoon St, Princeton, NJ, USPlease join us on Thursday, Feb 19 at the Princeton Public Library to hear from Chuck Foley from memQ, as we kick off 2026 and continue to explore all things quantum!
memQ is another hot quantum startup that will join us to share their origin and technology story. memQ was spun-out from the University of Chicago in 2021 to solve another important quantum problem, which is how to enable Quantum Processing Units (QPUs) to connect reliably over distances. While industry has initially focused on qubit density – i.e. how many qubits can we get onto a single chip – the next ‘big problem’ will be how to network these systems to work together.
Chuck will discuss memQ's business, technology and origin story including their residence at the Chicago Quantum Exchange's renowned Duality Accelerator. Two key components of their solution that Chuck will cover are their quantum memory and quantum photonics integrated circuit (PIC) technology.
Chuck Foley is Executive Chairman of memQ. Chuck provides over 40 years of hi-tech experience to the memQ board of directors, with successful IPO and exits across management and board roles. Mr Foley also sits on the board for Critical Links, RunSafe Security and VIZpin.
