Meditation For Peace │ Merit Dedication for Walk for Peace
Details
About This Gathering
As the venerable monks of the Walk for Peace complete their extraordinary journey of over 100 days on foot across the country walking for peace, we come together in gratitude to support them in the way we can most sincerely from afar: through meditation, compassion, and merit dedication.
It is an offering of presence, peace, and collective prayer. All are welcome.
Important Note: This gathering is offered and hosted independently by The Love Tower at Ashah nonprofit as a gesture of support and merit dedication. We are not formally affiliated with or partnered with Walk for Peace or Peace Point Meditation. Kindly note, no donations will be requested on behalf of the Walk for Peace by the Host Organizer (The Love Tower) or the Organizer's Guest Organization (Peace Point Meditation). Opening Wisdom Talk
We begin with a brief wisdom reflection to ground our intention and arrive together in stillness. This opening helps establish a shared space of peace, presence, and compassion before moving into meditation practice.
Dhammakaya Meditation
A traditional meditation practice rooted in inner stillness and clarity. Dhammakaya meditation supports the settling of the mind and the gentle return to the heart—cultivating peace within as a foundation for peace in the world.
Guided By: Special Guest Venerable Dr. Nicholas Thanissaro of Peace Point Meditation - Venerable Dr. Nicholas Thanissaro is a Buddhist monk from the UK. He has been a monk for over twenty years and has over thirty years of meditation experience. Venerable Nicholas pioneered popular meditation courses in Europe since 1997 and has had several guest television appearances, audio CD's, books, book translations, and academic articles to his name. He is also a UK Complementary Medical Association qualified teacher of meditation.
Music-Enhanced Heart Meditation (MEHM)
A live, voice-guided meditation accompanied by classical music, focused on cultivating love and compassion. This practice invites deep presence, emotional openness, and a shared experience of heart-centered awareness.
Guided By: Jamar Spicer - Jamar Spicer of The Love Tower. Jamar is a former Buddhist monk, certified energy healer, and meditation practitioner with over 20 years of dedicated practice. He has studied under renowned meditation masters and brings more than a decade of experience working with natural energy to support healing, awareness, and personal growth.
Merit Dedication
We will close our meditation by dedicating the merit of our practice in support of the venerable monks of Walk for Peace, as they near the completion of their extraordinary pilgrimage across the United States. This dedication is offered as a gesture of gratitude, solidarity, and prayer for peace for all beings.
