Quarkus on Java 21 by Willem Jan Glerum
Java 21 was just released last month! In this talk Willem Jan will briefly go over the new features in Java 21 and show you how you can use them in Quarkus. Furthermore, we'll dive a bit more into Virtual Threads and how you can use them with Quarkus in a live demo.

Willem Jan is a software engineer at Lunatech. Passionate about writing quality software and likes to automate everything out there. During the weekend you will mostly find him at scouting as a volunteer.

The Quarkus Rainbow for FullStack/Web development by Andy Damevin
During this demo, we will explore different options to create full-stack web applications. Through live coding, we will experience how nice and easy it is to develop the backend and the frontend together end to end:

- Quinoa & Web Bundler: for full-stack Single Page Apps (React, Vue, Angular, ...), Mobile (React Native), full-stack Microservices (Lit, ...).
- Renarde & Web Bundler: for Server-Side Rendered apps (MVC/Play-like), optionally with HTMX for dynamic apps.
- Playwright for out-of-the-box elegant E2E testing

Bio
Andy, a Principal Software Engineer at Red Hat, is a seasoned Java expert and enthusiastic about the Quarkus project. As a member of the Quarkus team, he is involved in one of the most innovative open source Java projects in the industry, designed for optimal performance in the cloud.

As a lead of the Quarkus FullStack/Web team, Andy is pushing to make Quarkus one of the best FullStack/Web framework on the market. His background in Java, combined with his interest in UI development, allows him to bring a unique perspective to his work.

Also member of the Quarkus DevTools team, Andy is dedicated to providing developers with an exceptional experience in using Quarkus and its vast extension ecosystem.

With extensive knowledge of the Java landscape and a dedication to improving the developer experience, Andy is a knowledgeable speaker on software engineering and open source technologies.
