For all our Queens that would like to be more involved in the community, this event is designed for you. Regardless of our backgrounds, this is an opportunity for all of us to come together and honor Black History Month by immersing ourselves in the history of one of the oldest all Black-incorporated municipalities in the United States: Eatonville. Incorporated in 1887 by 27 black men, this town is rich in history, culture and art. So join us as we spend the afternoon at Eatonville Chamber of Commerce to share a part of history in Orlando and celebrate Black History Month together πŸ₯°.

"Get ready to be inspired as Black History Speaks brings together influential speakers to share their stories and celebrate our rich culture.
Black History Speaks

Join us for an inspiring event at the Eatonville Chamber of Commerce! "Black History Speaks" is an incredible opportunity to celebrate and learn about the rich heritage and achievements of our Black community. Immerse yourself in captivating stories, powerful speeches, and thought-provoking discussions.

This in-person event promises to be a memorable experience that will deepen your understanding of Black history. Don't miss out on this chance to honor and appreciate the contributions of Black individuals throughout history. Come and be part of this extraordinary celebration!

This is an outdoor event. Feel free to bring your lawn chairs.

Vendors, participants, and Sponsors are needed for event.

The event includes a free tour of St. Lawrence AME Church (12:50-1:30) where it all began. Participants will receive a free look at the famous murals painted by artist Andre' Smith depicting African Americans in Psalms 23. Post cards available for purchase.

Also included is a self guided tour of The Rise Murals at your leisure.

The main event presentations begin at two o'clock at the Eatonville Chamber of Commerce.

Key Note Speaker is Dr. Neil Vaz . A professor at Seminole State College. His research includes Afro-American resistance to enslavement throughout the African diaspora.

Opening prayer by Rev. Jerrel McCoy.

"Lift Every Voice" led by local artist Queen Vic.

The event promises to inspire and entertain anyone in attendance."
