Hey all,

I know I’ve sent a lot of messages recently, so I apologize for that, lol. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about stepping down from the Meetup group for various reasons, and I finally decided it was time. The group will remain active until November 12th if no one takes over ownership.

I’ve enjoyed running this group, but I feel too constrained by the Meetup platform, so I decided to build my own site. I know I originally said that would be on a trial basis, but I already enjoy it far more than Meetup, and I didn’t see the point of running (and paying for) the group on two platforms.

I’ve enjoyed everyone’s presence over the last few years, and I hope everyone got as much enjoyment out of the group as I did. I hope to continue seeing you all on the new website, but if not, I hope you continue to enjoy the great trails and parks around Cincinnati.

If you’re not interested in joining the new website, no hard feelings. I recommend a few other hiking groups on Meetup for you to check out: Tristate Hikers, Yo Dayton, Let’s Hike, and Daytonhikers.org.
