About us
If you love playing board games but the online experience at Board Game Arena, Yucata, and BrettspielWelt isn’t enough, then come out and join us at one of our many events.
We are a group of avid board gamers, many of whom have an extensive library of games, who love to teach and play everything from the oldies (well, Settlers of Catan, not Nine Men's Morris) to the latest hits. In fact, if you have a game you want to learn, just say so in the event page and there will likely be someone willing to teach it
There will be events all over the northern Queens area (from Long Island City to Bay Terrace to Kew Gardens) that will be chosen to be as accommodating as possible to both drivers and users of public transit.
Bring your favorite games and share your passions, or just bring your enthusiasm and courtesy for your fellow players and the venues that we use. Let’s game our days and nights away!

WHAT TO EXPECT
If you're looking for a fun and friendly group of people to play a variety of games with, join us for a Friday meetup at The Clubhouse.
Newcomers are always welcome! Growing up, most of us played children's games (ex: Candyland, Sorry, Connect Four) and classic games (ex: Checkers, Chess, Scrabble, Monopoly). Gaming has truly evolved since then, with an increase in volume of games/categories created along with an increase in complexity and sophistication of rules and strategies. These "modern games" involve a whole other world that you may never heard of, however there will be others who will bring these games and teach you (see list below - you can also go to YouTube to preview and familiarize yourself).
Examples of games played
Gateway games - Rummy Cube, Splendor, Qwirkle, Century Spice Road
Card games – Five Crowns, SKYJO, Phase 10, The Game, Parade, Port Royal, The Gang
Word games - So Clover, Blank Slate, Just One, Sides, One Round, Jibber Jabble, Letter Jam
Introductory strategy games - Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, Carcassonne
Lighter strategy games - Stone Age, Istanbul, Concordia, Rajas of the Ganges
Heavier strategy games – Orleans, The Castles of Burgundy, Terraforming Mars
Bringing your own games is not mandatory, however if you possess any, feel free to bring them as there are always people looking to learn something new or to find a new favorite board game.
Also, please feel free to post in the Comments section regarding which games are being brought and would like to be played.
