Queens Tech Meetup 11 w/ RapGenius, Vengo, Confide, StyleScan, & TribeReminder

Join us on February 25 in Long Island City for exciting tech demos, delicious beer made in Queens, and epic roofdeck views! Just 10 minutes from Grand Central on the 7 train.

Rap Genius is the brain we all share: beyond music, it is the Wikipedia of all text. Now in a native iPhone app!

Vengo combines digital media with point-of-purchase to create an interactive sales and consumer engagement platform.

With confidential messages that self-destruct, Confide takes you off the record.

Style Scan
StyleScan is photo sharing app that allows users to share, discover, and shop the latest fashion & beauty trends. One great feature is the bar code scanner providing users with instant styling recommendations as they shop.

Easily stay in touch with your most important contacts.

I had a great time and look forward to the next one. Instead of waiting for the demos to work, I think it would have been better if the presenters shifted to just talking about their company. It was a little awkward but not that big of a deal

thank you for sharing. I am trying to understand the true challenge of each model.
RapGenius=young culture (they will buy anything shiny), Vengo=brand building (needs extended capital), Confide=competition (keeping differentiation), Stylescan=UX (engagement), TribeReminder=?
