The AI Attack Surface: Understanding the New Security Frontier
The Precinct, 315 Brunswick St, Fortitude Valley, QL, AUAI is moving fast, and so are the risks.
As organisations race to adopt large language models, AI agents, automation, and intelligent systems, a new security frontier is emerging. AI is not just changing how businesses innovate; it is changing how attackers operate, what they target, and how quickly threats can scale. This session will explore the rapidly evolving intersection of AI and cybersecurity, showing how AI is reshaping the threat landscape and why traditional security approaches are no longer enough.
Through real-world examples, emerging attack techniques, and practical security guidance, we will unpack how adversaries are exploiting AI-powered tools, targeting AI systems, and taking advantage of weaknesses in LLMs, autonomous agents, data pipelines, and model-driven workflows.
Attendees will gain practical insight into:
• The emerging AI attack surface and why it matters
• How attackers are using AI to increase speed, scale, and sophistication
• Common vulnerabilities in LLMs, AI agents, and autonomous systems
• The role of AI red teaming and security testing
• What organizations can do now to build safer, more trustworthy AI systems
• Future trends in AI security, governance, and regulationJoin us to explore the new security frontier and learn what it takes to secure AI before attackers get there first.
